2. Rejuvenate your senses in the dense forests:

Bhitarkanika Wildlife Sanctuary is a heaven for nature and wildlife lovers. The best time to visit is from December to February. Watch hundreds of crocodiles basking on mud flats waiting for their meal to swim by or watch more than 200 species of birds among which are eight species of brilliantly colored kingfishers.

3. Relive the history at the Udayagiri and Khandagiri Caves:

Visit the humongous and stunning caves of Odisha which were carved for Jain ascetics in the 1st century BC. The caves are around six kilometers from the city of Bhubaneswar. Start at sunrise from Udayagiri (Sunrise Hill) and visit all of its 18 caves. End the day at Khandagiri which has 15 caves.

4. Get a tan at the Model Beach:

The Model Beach of Puri is a paradise for tired tourists. It is run by a community which was initiated by Barefoot. It offers a 700 meter stretch of fine and clean sand. Its Palm umbrellas, beach chairs, and massage parlors add to the beauty of the beach.

5. Learn the history of Odisha at the State Museum:

The State Museum has Odisha’s best collection of rare palm manuscripts, traditional and folk musical instruments, Bronze Age tools, an armory, and a marvelous collection of Buddhist, Jaina and Brahmanical sculptures.
